DTU Skylab is the tech hub located at DTU. We focus on enabling student innovation and entrepreneurship. We believe that students learn and advance better when combining theory and practice. This is why we facilitate the connection between companies from the public and private sector with DTU students and likewise with the research community.
DTU Skylab support innovation practically by providing free access for all DTU students to our workshops; metal, wood, welding, rapid prototyping (3D printing, laser cutting and 3D scanner), electronics, design lab and the wet lab. In 2018, we also launch a Foodlab.
Skylab has just received a donation of 80 MDKK from the A.P. Møller Relief Foundation to expand into a tech-focused innovation hub encompassing where student innovation will be combined with business and tech labs, where companies can gain access to new knowledge on disruptive technologies as well to physical space for big scale prototyping where their employees can submerge themselves in an innovative environment.
